The Land of Magical Water
Is there a place that you return to, one that "calls you home"? For me, that place is Ireland, a tiny island, in the grand scheme, that possesses a quality both intangible and solid. While there are similarities throughout, the topographic differences lie 'round every sweeping curve. Surrounded by bodies of salt water, the inland lakes are a placid reminder, a dreamy mirror, of water's split personality. Raging or still. Now you see it, now you don't.
This particular lake is well known for its location in County Galway, though few travelers ever learn her name. She is Pollacappul Lough. On her banks sits the stately Kylemore Abbey, near Renvyle in County Galway.
